Simple Spiced Cider Pork Chops

Simple Spiced Cider Pork Chops - a quick and easy, but delicious and interesting, weeknight dinner.

Total Time 35 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pork chops
  • oil for pan
  • 1/2 c apple cider
  • 1/2 t ground cinnamon
  • 2 cloves

Method
 

  1. Trim fat off pork chops, if needed.
  2. Heat oil in pan. Brown chops in pan over high heat, 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Lower heat, and add cider and spices.
  4. Bring cider to a slow simmer, cover the pan, and simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Remove cover, and cook another 10 minutes or until pork is done, and pan liquid is somewhat reduced. (Don't let it dry out.)
  6. Pour pan liquid over chops as sauce.

Notes

A particularly nice combination with sweet potatoes.
